just nonsense.

Everthing's going as scheduled at the jobsite and I'm expecting (nee hoping) that I will be in Manila by July. I have been quite busy, or trying to look like I'm working, this past weeks. Supertyphoon "Caloy" made a quick stop here and my colleagues and I were still at the jobsite that day. It was a very, very, very wet day as I walked around the compound in full raingear looking for leaks. Never heard the winds howl that strong and Ilo-ilo was without electricity for almost 2 days. The winds was so strong that the rain fell to the ground almost horizontally. It was bright and sunny again after a couple of days.

I'm already on my 8th month working here and I can already understand "some" Ilonggo. It's a good thing that some of the words are of spanish origin and it's quite easy to get what the people here are talking about. My co-workers can speak to me in Ilonggo while I answer in Tagalog. I still confine my conversations in Ilonggo to "san ka makadto?", "tagpila?" or "manyapon ka 'ga?". Any longer than that and I revert back to tagalog. Hehehe.

Even though the project here's almost finished and even if I'm expecting to come home afterwards, I'm still feeling that my stay here may be stretched further 'coz I'm getting inquiries on some projects on the side. I don't know if this is God telling me to stay here. It's a very exciting prospect and this may be good for me in the long run but this is something I have to think through.

My sister came home from her 10-month tour as a bar attendant aboard a Norwegian Star cruise ship. She was cruising to and fro the Carribean along the east coast of the U.S. Her first contract was the Alaskan route and she was at the west coast. Bad thing is she's away from her 4-year old daughter 10 months in a year.

That's my sister with my mom and neice at Water Camp in Kawit, Cavite.

I'll be in Manila briefly by the end of June for some important engagements and will probably be home again middle of July for a family reunion of sorts. And if all's well, will be flying home for good by the end of July, hopefully.

Unless....
